It is necessary to verify and add your blog to Google search console (google search engine tool). From Google search engine point view it is necessary to add your sitemap XML file for better indexing. Through sitemap XML file Google knows the updating frequency of your blog. It will also take backlinks into account whenever crawling your blog in the search. Most bloggers forget to do this and they struggle to get page one rankings better crawling.

First login to your webmaster tools accounts and chose your blog, for example, www.yourdomain.com change “yourdomain” with your actual domain. Your blog dashboard will open. Chose option crawl from the left-hand side menu and go to sitemaps option. Don’t worry, if you don’t understand anything follow the image below for actual steps.
Now click the red button labeling Add/Test Sitemap. In this dialogue box after your website URL type sitemap_index.xml and hit the submit button.
Your sitemap XML file is submitted just wait for few minutes and sitemap will start showing up on the dashboard of your website.
Tip: Before submission please make a sitemap XML file first
For better indexing visit your Google search console and check how many of your pages are index and what is the speed of indexing.
